We will start the 2 day Machu Picchu tour from Cusco with a scenic train journey through the Sacred Valley. The train will follow the Urubamba River, offering stunning views of Andean landscapes. Day 1Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes

We will start our 2 days tour early in the morning from our hotel in Cusco. A comfortable vehicle will take us through the breathtaking Sacred Valley. We will pass small Andean villages and admire vast fields of corn and potatoes. The drive will end at the train station in Ollantaytambo, where we will board a scenic train.

The train will follow the Urubamba River, passing dramatic landscapes, steep mountains, and lush cloud forests. We will see ancient Inca sites hidden along the valley’s slopes. The journey will take around 1.5 hours, offering a glimpse of the diverse Andean ecosystems. We will arrive in Aguas Calientes, the vibrant town below Machu Picchu day.

After checking into our hotel in Aguas Calientes, we will have time to explore the town or visit the relaxing hot springs. We can also visit the local handicraft market to see traditional Andean textiles and souvenirs. The evening will be free to rest or enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. As we ascend, we will enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The first glimpse of Machu Picchu day from the Sun Gate or Guardhouse will be unforgettable.

Our guide will lead us through the fascinating ruins, explaining their history and significance. We will explore temples, plazas, terraces, and mysterious stone structures.
