When selecting a program with Inka Explorer Viajes, it is essential to carefully review the terms and conditions, as they govern your reservation. Making a payment for any tour or package signifies your agreement to these terms and your commitment to abide by them.

General Information

Itineraries may be subject to changes due to weather conditions, local regulations, or group preferences. Inka Explorer Viajes is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal belongings or any consequences arising from such incidents. Likewise, we are not liable for any illnesses or accidents that may occur during the tour; any related expenses will be the client’s responsibility.

If equipment is provided during the tour, clients are responsible for its care and must reimburse any damage or loss before returning to Cusco. Additionally, each traveler must ensure they are in adequate physical and mental condition for the trip; Inka Explorer Viajes is not responsible for inaccurate self-assessments.

Reservation Process

Before making any payment, we recommend consulting with us for advice on the program you wish to book. To confirm your reservation, a non-refundable deposit of 50% per person is required. Your payment constitutes a binding agreement with Inka Explorer Viajes, and your booking will be confirmed upon our written notification.

Accepted payment methods for the initial deposit include WESTERN UNION, PAYPAL, and other online alternatives. Clients are responsible for any banking fees or transfer costs.

Final Balance Payment

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars (USD). The remaining balance must be paid at our office at least one day before the tour begins, in Peruvian soles, U.S. dollars, or by credit/debit card (Visa), with an 8% fee applicable for card payments.

The agreed price at the time of booking is fixed and will not change.

Client Cancellations

If you need to cancel your reservation, you must send us a written notification. Please note that the initial deposit is non-refundable. We recommend checking with your travel insurance for possible cancellation coverage.

  • Cancellations more than 15 days before departure: 50% of the deposit will be forfeited.
  • Cancellations between 7 and 15 days before departure: If full payment has been made, 50% of the total cost will be refunded.
  • Cancellations less than 48 hours before departure: No refunds will be issued.

Partial cancellations during the tour will not be refunded.

Modifications or Cancellations by Us

In the event of unforeseen circumstances such as technical issues, extreme weather conditions, strikes, government decisions, or civil disturbances, Inka Explorer Viajes may modify the itinerary without offering a refund. However, we will strive to provide equivalent alternatives to ensure the best possible experience.

If significant itinerary changes are required, we will notify you in advance and offer equivalent options. Any additional costs resulting from these changes will be the client’s responsibility.

If Inka Explorer Viajes cancels a tour due to extraordinary circumstances, a full refund will be issued.

Acknowledging Potential Risks

Our tours are designed to provide authentic experiences, which inherently involve certain risks, including injury, emotional distress, or, in extreme cases, more severe events. By participating in our activities, you acknowledge and accept these risks, as well as your responsibility for your health and physical condition. Inka Explorer Viajes is not responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur during the tour.

Tour Regulations

The guide or company representative has the final authority on matters related to group safety and well-being. All participants must follow their instructions and comply with Peruvian law.

Any behavior that endangers the group’s safety may result in expulsion from the tour without a refund.

Required Documentation

A valid passport is mandatory. We recommend carrying either the original document or a copy during all excursions.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend obtaining comprehensive travel insurance, which includes coverage for accidents, medical expenses, emergency repatriation, trip cancellations, and lost baggage.

Third-Party Services

To enhance your experience, Inka Explorer Viajes collaborates with various third-party providers, such as airlines and hotels. However, we are not responsible for any delays, inconveniences, or failures in services provided by these external companies.

Claims and Complaints

If you experience any issues with our services, please inform your guide immediately. Formal complaints must be submitted in writing within 7 days after the tour ends.

Any legal disputes will be resolved exclusively in Cusco, Peru, under Peruvian law. Claims against Inka Explorer Viajes are limited to the value of the disputed service and do not include indirect losses or missed profit opportunities.
