We will pick you up from the hotel in Cusco between 6:30 and 7:00 AM. Once the group is complete, we will drive north into the Sacred Valley. Our first stop will be Chinchero, a charming town with Inca terraces and a beautiful colonial church. We will watch local artisans demonstrate their traditional textile techniques, from wool washing to weaving colorful patterns.
Next, we will visit Moray, where we will admire massive circular terraces once used for agricultural experiments. These unique formations will reveal the advanced farming knowledge of the Incas. We will then continue to the Maras Salt Mines, a spectacular site with thousands of salt pools carved into the mountainside. The local families still harvest salt here using ancient techniques.
We will head to Urubamba for a buffet lunch, enjoying Andean and international cuisine.
